A Jewelry Collection of a Museum

Curiously, taking the steps to go to The National Art Gallery, the security guard was emphasizing to me that I should always keep in mind, that The Art Gallery is not an old vintage shop, enjoy and feed your soul with this visit. Exhibitions here are of a unique and intriguing kind. Almost every month, there is a new display. My eyes were dazzled by the art objects, having the chance not just to see but also to ‘’feel’’ those masterpieces. In this picture, you can see already the entrance, how it was designed, and how calmness was the center of the whole gallery as a work of art itself.

Mysteriously, you could see the colors of the darkness in the hall which were dominated and the brightness was coming from the paintings themselves. As I was trying to comprehend them, the paintings were serving power and I felt the grandeur just because of the fact that they were permeating emotions and goosebumps to me. Like traveling in a big city, the little objects were visualized in my mind like suitcases and all this work of art was guiding me to begin a new journey in order to discover the depths of myself. Crazy how art can make you enter into a whole new dimension, a gate of a thousand feelings and you are amused and try to feel the experience as much as you can.

While exploring further, what caught my eyes was also a work of art, painted and worked on an antenna with a yellow background. As I was observing the painting with admiration, my eyes reflected on an armed soldier who was holding a rifle in his hand. It gave me the feeling that he was carefully observing all the other masterpieces in the gallery and was resolutely guarding them.

After observing the painting, it felt like I was taking permission from him in order to follow the path to the second floor. In a bit, I was already there and from this angle, it felt like shooting for a movie and the protagonists of this film were these gorgeous paintings. The red color was dominating and I was sailing through passion. The first painting was constructed as chaos symbolizing life itself. In the second painting, was this philosopher who could not talk because life made him live through struggles in the silent mode, but his desperate eyes were still giving to me hope. And in the third painting, the finger of this other philosopher was pointing that you should never quit, but breathe at first, make decisions, and blossom always confidence.

Then, I went to visit The National Museum of Kosovo, also located in Prishtine. Antique vessels, plates, pieces of jewelry, and other pieces of art made me feel, like living in the past and I saw there the art as a time machine that was bringing me back to the past and feeling enthusiastic. And also, fulfilling my memories with all of this rich historical background.

The clothes were unique, imagining myself in them, and felt very strong. I was delighting also ‘’The Bust of the Dardanian Goddess’’. A masterpiece sculpted in marble that made me feel astonishing and so proud.

The Bust of the Dardanian Goddess, II-III century

The experience in The National Art Gallery was inspiring and indeed gave me bits of advice and an art path to think about and consider as motivation for my continuous work. While the other experience in The National Museum itself was like finding a big treasure, as I was discovering the artifacts.
