A wall of bullets

A wall of bullets 25th of May was one of the best days I’ve had these past weeks. I’ve been overloaded with work and study for exams and a day like that was a must . I’m from Ulqin and I didn’t have the opportunity to know much about Kosovo's history. I visited one of the most valuable places in Kosovo which is the house of the family of heroes “Jashari” in Prekaz which is called “Memorial Complex Adem Jashari ”. I have heard about this history a little but seeing the house where the history lives in, was a completely different experience . I’m so thankful that I had this opportunity to visit such an amazing place. I and my colleague Dorentina Selimi went together to Prekaz and had the most wonderful time. Do you want to go back in time and experience certain historical events as you were there? Well, you should definitely visit a museum, a place where art shines and architecture just leaves you speechless. Fortunately, I had the chance to visit one of the museums of Kosovo called The National Museum of Kosovo, located in Prishtina . As I finished the lectures at the university, my friend Adea and I decided to go and visit the museum. Even though we went there by walking and got tired, the moment I entered the museum, I understood that it was a place worth visiting and I realized that I should have done it before. I was impressed by the archaeological exhibits, preservation and presentation of Kosovo’s cultural heritage. Firstly, when I entered, the calm music in the background, the fresh air and the wide space just made me feel relieved. The rich culture of a historically oppressed country The trip to the museum definitively sparked a lot of emotions in me. The people there are very friendly and will guide you through each finding and explain the usage and the story behind it. As the tour guide was letting us in on the background and history of each artifact, from the Neolith Age to the Modern Times, exposing us with different monumental pieces and tools used since back then, I felt as if I was traveling back in those times and picturing the life in those traditions. Firstly, we were introduced to the Stone Age with some of the vases and pots that were used back then. Of course, their form and shape was a little damaged because of the passing years, however, I think it adds a lot to their antic origins. Going forward, the tour guide showed us more tools dating some time later into the Neolith Era.
